Our Editorial Standards for Accurate TCPA Legal Information
We start with primary sources. Legal rules and figures on this site come from the statute, FCC regulations, court decisions, government agency pages, or official settlement websites. Each page lists the sources it relies on.
If we can’t verify something, we leave it out. Some pages have gaps where a fact could not be confirmed. That is deliberate.
We report findings, not labels. When a page names a company, we describe what complaints, lawsuits, and regulators have said, and we link to the record. We leave conclusions to courts and agencies.
We keep pages current. Every page shows when it was last reviewed. Settlement deadlines and FCC rules change, and recent Supreme Court decisions have changed how courts read parts of the TCPA. Time limits for filing a claim also apply, so if you think you have a case, don’t wait to have it reviewed.
We tell you when you probably don’t have a case. One isolated call, calls you agreed to receive, and callers who can’t be identified often do not support a claim. Our pages say so.
